ALSO KNOWN TO BE BURIED HERE…

ROOT
Catherine, wife of J.L., died Sept. 24, 1891, aged 22y 8m 12d
(This stone is listed in the MCGS book but can no longer be located. This looks to be Catharine A. White who married a James L. Root on June 11, 1877. She is also the daughter of John W. White and his first wife, Mary Ann (1860 Chatham census). She was living (age 26) in the 1880 Chatham census but no death record for her has been located. She would have to have been older than 22 when she died.)

WHITE
Mary Ann, wife of John W., died between 1860 and 1862
(John and Mary buried their daughter Frances here in 1856. They buried another daughter here later in 1891. Mary is living (age 35) in the 1860 Chatham census. In April of 1862 we see that John marries a Catharine Drushal. Mary must have died and would probably have been buried here also.)
