Erastus, Sept. 16, 1814 – Feb. 14, 1892 – he has a headstone at New Leroy cemetery with his wife Eliza but is actually buried here. The family wanted to move him to New Leroy cemetery but a huge locust tree had grown into his grave. (Source: Simmons History by Pat Van Hoose)
UNANGST
Sadie, daughter of Edwin B. and Maria E., died September 20, 1899, aged 11 months – buried in the old section on the hill, a little towards the front slope. She has no headstone. There is a stone for a J. Unangst in Row 5 of that section whose location seems to match. That might have been the Unangst family lot.
