CEMETERY HISTORY
What is known about this family burial ground was determined only from the records of Spring Grove Cemetery. It shows five children of Samuel Thorne Adams and his wife Sarah Helme Adams being interred in 1894; having been “removed from Adams farm”.
On September 28, 1894 Samuel would purchase Section 5, Lot 23 and, soon after, the remains of their five children were removed from the family farm and reinterred in Spring Grove.
The children’s names and dates as they appear on the family monument:
ADAMS
Ellen L., 1852-1859
John E., 1856-1865
Charlie H., 1858-1865
Carrie E., 1860-1862
Sarah M., 1862-1862
LOCATION
While the exact location where this cemetery was will likely never be known, we can say for certain that it was somewhere in the northwest corner of Medina Township.
